CJCHT began as International C&J and it's core business was shoes. From the start International C&J was recognized by its customers as being a company who always strived for providing the best customer service. The business quickly grew and within five years was headed to China.

In 1985 CHT Co. Ltd. was formed as a sister company that was based in Hong Kong. As China began to open CHT Co. Ltd played a valuable role in enhancing the offering of products (mostly shoes) to our customers.

The group of companies, International C&J and CHT, were focused on being the supplier of choice in China for its customer base. When most companies were going to Southern China cities, International C&J and CHT headed for Shanghai. At the time the infrastructure in Shanghai was poor, but the company's leader saw the future as being based from Shanghai.

In 1987, the first CHT China office was opened in Putian, Fujian province. As well as the first joint venture factory called Sinco

In 1989 the first CHT office was opened in Shanghai. Although the company had other offices in China, Shanghai was and still is the base.

As the company settled into China it was apparent that the future was not only to be a buyer, but more a manufacturer that would continue to provide the services and needs of our growing customer base.

As China matured over the next ten years, International C&J and CHT were combined by name, CJCHT.

CJCHT went to China with the goal of providing the best product, coupled with the service that our customers had become accustomed to and most importantly the price that would make the business grow for all.

Since the beginning, in 1981, International C&J CJCHT has always viewed its staff as being one of its greatest assets and this attitude has helped the company keep some staff. This is also true in China as some of our staff has been with us since the beginning.

As China and CJCHT grew it became apparent that there were other needs that our customers had in other areas. Since early 2000 CJCHT began to invest in non-shoe factories. Today along with the shoe factories, CJCHT owns factories that make other consumer items such as flags, decorative glass, high performance fiber graphics, outdoor garden products and a totally vertical group of printing factories.
